Plan B

Great news! We were able to contact a pastor friend in Tama, Iowa, and he was very happy to have our group come out and work on some projects at their church. They have been talking as a church about some project needs, but didn't have the manpower to get them done right now. We are so grateful to have a place to minister. We plan to leave at 9:00 a.m. Sunday, June 12 and travel until around Chicago, stay the night and then continue on to Iowa on Monday. We will work 4 days and then return Sunday, June 19 in the afternoon. We appreciate your prayers as we travel.

Our hearts are still with the rest of our team in St. Vincent, but we are thankful to have a purpose that we can throw our hearts and energies into for the week. We will update on this blog even though it says "Mission St. Vincent." :)

  1. Iowa and St. Vincent really have SO much in common, anyway. Like mosquitoes, and sand, and corn,(bannanas, corn--what's the difference?)

One group flew over the Caribbean Sea; the other will ride the van through a sea of . . . Corn!

One group will have sweltering heat even at night; the others will probably have to turn down that AC from blowing too cold. Suffering!
