Well, the 3rd day is done now. God is truly teaching us some amazing things. I set out on this venture thinking that we would be able to teach the people down here how to grow closer to God. Turns out, they are really teaching US how to Praise God!! They are amazing! They have so little compared to what we have (stuff, that is!). We seem to have so much that we let it get in the way of our worship. They really seem to rely on God much more than we do (at least me). God is really opening my eyes on this trip.
One of my favorite songs is "Give Me Your Eyes" by Brandon Heath. I have listened to it hundreds of times. Now I am really starting to see what it REALLY means! We really need to see the world around us the way that God sees it. And we really need to learn to focus on others and not just on ourselves.
Please pray for me and the rest of the gang that God will use us in a mighty way, not just this week but for the rest of our lives!
