We have a few minutes together (first few since what seems like a week ago!) so we wanted to post a few notes. First of all, we want to thank our Lord & Savior for his wonderful grace that he has shown us.
We would also like to thank all of our friends and family back home who have helped to make this trip possible for both teams.
God's plans are not always our plans, but we know that His are always much better than our own. We were very dissappointed to learn that the whole team would not be together. But God has been gracious to allow us to be here to serve HIM and not ourselves. We have been praying that God would use us to glorify Him in whatever way He wanted to. He sure showed us that we need to pray what we mean and mean what we pray!!
I will admit, I was all set to just fill in the gap for Pastor Jeff and let him and Ken do all of the hard spiritual work while I was content with the hard physical work. God has certainly changed all of that and thrust me into the forefront with Ken. But with HIS strength, I know that HE alone will see me through this. It is not by my power but by God's that I will be able to serve Him!!
Although different than we expected, I know that God will use us mightily down here, even without the whole group that we had planned on. Please continue to pray for us. And please continue to pray for Pastor Jeff's team. God's Word will not return void, whether in Iowa or in St Vincent! Or anywhere else in the world that He calls us to serve!
